You warmly welcomed our selection of men’s boutiques in Paris, so it was only natural to continue this momentum by offering you an article on how to best buy your men’s suit in Paris.
You’ll find something for every budget: from decent entry-level ready-to-wear to bespoke tailoring (which we have detailed a little less, however).
We particularly hope this will help you see the men’s suit offerings in Paris more clearly: obviously, this is a selection in which we haven’t mentioned everyone.
If a brand is not listed, it’s either because we didn’t deem it relevant (or another brand in the selection does it better) or, in rarer cases, it might be an oversight (please don’t hesitate to let us know).
We have also launched our own made-to-measure service, in partnership with Clotilde Ranno. I invite you to discover more here:

I Ready-to-wear (Prêt-à-porter)
Looking for a men’s suit in Paris but in a hurry? Here are the ready-to-wear (RTW) boutiques with the best value for money in the capital.
If you usually have no trouble dressing in ready-to-wear and have a fairly standard size, check out these boutiques first, as they offer very nice constructions.
Italian Style

By Willman
A very nice selection of ready-to-wear tailoring featuring De Petrillo suits, as well as frequent and limited arrivals of Lardini suits/blazers and sport jackets. Also a bit of dressy techwear with the Kired brand (Kiton’s outerwear).
Here, everything is 100% made in Italy.

SuitSupply
Is there even a need to introduce SuitSupply? It’s probably the best value for money in accessible tailoring, offering a wide range of suits, jackets, and trousers with good quality Chinese manufacturing and a broad choice of fabrics. The rather massive boutique also includes an MTM system and in-house alterations.

The Nines
The DNVB (Digital Native Vertical Brand) that revitalizes the formal wardrobe with very nice innovations: a very solid shirt offering with a wide variety of collars and Sea Island fabric (the world’s finest cotton) at an unbeatable price. We also appreciate the richness of materials and patterns in their accessories (pocket squares, ties, cufflinks, etc.).

Silbon
Sort of the Spanish SuitSupply, positioned even more accessibly with a wide choice of sizes and especially suits with wide lapels without breaking the bank. Perfect for a first suit or an affordable sport jacket.

Anthony Garçon
A very decent entry-level offering whose variety of fabrics and cuts (in terms of structure and fit) we appreciate.
The only regret: everything is fused and the lapels are very thin (logical at this price point).

Husbands
A young brand founded in 2013 by Nicolas Gabard: excellent ready-to-wear made in Italy with remarkable finishes, original fabrics, and a claimed 60s-70s style visible in some models through marked shoulders and wide lapels.
RTW suits start at €1350: a potential first real suit with a very distinct character (only consider once you have at least 5 to 6 suits).

Very nice selection of sartorial ready-to-wear with Italian manufacturing by De Petrillo, as well as a successful high-end casual wardrobe with knitwear and chambray/denim shirts. All with a clean style that I particularly like.

II Men’s Suit Paris: The Made-to-Measure Offer
As a reminder, made-to-measure (or industrial measure) refers to a suit offered based on a pattern that is adapted according to the client’s measurements.
Different degrees of customization are possible depending on the workshop and the tailor: usually, 1 to 2 appointments are enough for your suit to be ready.
This is a good solution if you have trouble finding ready-to-wear clothes that fit or if you want a high degree of personalization.
Here, you will deal either with measurement advisors or with tailors who have undergone real multi-year training on the subject: there is no wrong choice, as there can be excellent self-taught measurement advisors, and technically very good tailors who may not know how to adapt to their clients.
If you are looking for a made-to-measure men’s suit in Paris, you will quickly notice that the offer is prolific. It’s really difficult to differentiate between the various houses: I have therefore sorted them according to their manufacturing workshop.
Some houses collaborate with several workshops: you will find them in the Others category.
PORTUGAL

RIVES Paris
The offering is more diverse than elsewhere, with real possibilities in terms of streetwear and casualwear: the RIVES universe is completely out of step with what you usually find at a tailor: a collarless jacket, short or 3/4 sleeves, Bermuda shorts.
I recommend this kind of originality to those who already master the codes perfectly and who will know how to use this type of more original piece to their advantage.

Tailor Trucks
A house with a very interesting concept, as it offers its made-to-measure service at home thanks to their « Tailor Truck » with a very wide range of fabrics (VBC, Reda, Loro Piana, Dormeuil, Zegna…). It also offers all possible forms of traditional canvassing.
Tailor Trucks manufactures in Portugal with an express manufacturing service available.

La Maison de l’Homme
When you go to La Maison de l’Homme, you don’t go to an ordinary tailor who has his suits made in Portugal: you go to an institution that has been working for decades for state professions and achieves significant economies of scale (accentuated by the purchase of the former Atelier NA boutiques) on fabric purchases to offer you an ultra-aggressive price on very good quality Portuguese manufacturing, careful measurement taking, and advanced customization possibilities.

Artling
A house comfortably established in Paris for 10 years, it offers a made-to-measure experience with an excellent degree of customization for made-to-measure, numerous artisanal finishes, and a tasteful stylistic choice.
The suits are made in Portugal, in a renowned workshop. There is also a measure offer focused more on « casual sport » with safari jackets and Gurkha trousers.

Les Francs-Tireurs
Les Francs-Tireurs is a house founded in 2014 by Yves Chadeyras and Marion Couraud with quality manufacturing in Portugal and Yves’ sharp eye for measurements (trained at AFT with Guilson): it is done on 3 standard size templates to best match the client’s body. Special mention for the fabrics (from Lafayette Saltiel notably) and the proportions.

Men’s Suit Paris made in Eastern Europe

Atelier Clotilde Ranno x JamaisVulgaire
We recently launched a made-to-measure service with the Parisian house Clotilde Ranno. The difference with other tailors? Thanks to my 10 years of expertise in style advice, we take the time to choose a construction that stands out (which other tailors won’t highlight) and is consistent with your body shape and environment.

Fratelli Mocchia di Coggiola
Although they work with an Eastern European workshop used by other tailors, Francesco and Massimiliano have tried everything in terms of finishes and developed exclusive patterns with a real signature that you won’t find elsewhere. Ideal for a dandy style, in the purest sense of the term, or a suit that respects vintage codes.
The house also offers a bespoke service, carried out by an Italian tailor based in Paris.

Scavini Paris
I greatly appreciated the work of Julien Scavini, a trained tailor, for the originality of his patterns: although he works with a factory in Eastern Europe that supplies other tailors, he has infused his own identity into his suits through, for example, the notches and pocket shapes.
We also appreciate the amount of hand-finishing done in Paris.
Scavini also offers a line of trousers as well as a semi-bespoke offer with an Italian workshop located near Treviso.

Blandin&Delloye
One of the most affordable houses for industrial made-to-measure: it offers all possible constructions (fused, half-canvassed, full canvas). A very complete choice of fabrics, there is something for every taste from the most classic to the most sartorial, all with clean finishes.
For me, this is the best quality/price/experience ratio in industrial made-to-measure made in Romania.
Note: Blandin&Delloye also has its ready-to-wear brand Singulier, with whom we collaborate occasionally.

Confident Paris
We can only recommend Confident Paris for a made-to-measure suit on an accessible budget if you want a minimally original identity and if you adhere to this strong concept of cool tailoring (if not, Florent also offers more classic business suits).
Confident Paris offers suits starting at 490 euros with semi-traditional canvassing (+100 euros for traditional canvassing).

Lanieri
Lanieri is a young Italian brand founded in 2011 by Simone Maggi and Riccardo Schiavotto, which distinguished itself by being one of the pioneers of quality online made-to-measure (measurements taken by the client) at a very competitive price.
It is therefore a contemporary model of industrial tailoring that allows cost reduction with affordable Made in Italy, reflected in the very Italian stylistic choice.

MEN’S SUIT PARIS: Others

The French Tailor
Although the production is Chinese, the fabrics offered for the suits are largely Italian and English: we find the usual prestigious references: VBC, Loro Piana, Holland & Sherry, and even Ariston.
Suits start at 495 euros for a fully semi-traditionally canvassed suit (no fusing) on a selection of essential fabrics: several shades of grey and blue.

Atelier Mesures
The plus: an impressive variety of production workshops in Europe and Asia, hence an impressive range of finishes ranging from basic fusing to a fully handmade suit (which is possible in the Italian or Asian workshop).
The highest-end hand assembly is possible at the Italian workshop and also in the Asian workshop to access impressive finishes (like canvassing with handmade chevron stitches) at a relatively accessible price.

Atelier Hoche
With over 17 years of experience in measurement, Christian Yves Roussel offers a service crafted in a wide variety of workshops (from the more accessible Chinese workshop to the Neapolitan workshop where the starting price is €2380). Ardentes Clipei
After tailor training at AFT, Romain Biette launched Ardentes Clipei: his most loyal clients credit him with an excellent eye for cuts.
Several suit ranges are offered, made in Eastern Europe for the entry-level and in Portugal for the mid-range.
The house also offers a semi-bespoke Anglo-Indian service, as well as bespoke made in the Paris region.
We also appreciate the selection of brands that attest to a very sure taste and a coherent universe: Atacama for leather, Begg&Co for cashmere, John Smedley for merino, Calabrese for ties, or Simmonot Godard for pocket squares.

II Semi-Bespoke (starting from €1500)
Semi-bespoke works similarly to made-to-measure, but with more detailed measurements, and especially more artisanal than industrial manufacturing, which will be significantly noticeable in the fit, comfort, and durability of your suit.
This is the most luxurious form of made-to-measure we know. It is mostly made in Italy, generally between Rome and Naples.

Atelier Clotilde Ranno

Jean-Manuel Moreau
The most complete and artisanal made-to-measure offer in Paris, made in Naples by the very famous workshop of Orazio Luciano. Reserved for a clientele of Neapolitan style purists, Jean Manuel Moreau offers a (his) very successful cut and has a very sure taste, particularly regarding the shoulder line.
The suit is made there “tutto fatto a mano” in the purest Neapolitan tradition.
Everything is finished by hand in Paris; it is probably the most beautiful and accomplished artisanal made-to-measure found in France.

III Men’s Suit Paris: Bespoke (starting from €2000)
Here, we don’t start from an existing pattern but from a blank sheet to design a suit that will perfectly match your morphology. Obviously, the amount of work required is therefore very different for the tailor, which justifies a much higher price.
Having not yet had the opportunity to have a Paris men’s suit made bespoke, we will obviously not allow ourselves to comment or compare the offer. We will complete this section as we go.
